Coconut oil rarely stays confined to the kitchen in most Indian households — the same bottle, or often a second one, ends up on the bathroom shelf for hair oiling and skin care. The Coconut Oil Duo is built around that exact overlap, bundling two full one-litre bottles of our wood-pressed Coconut Oil so you can keep one strictly for cooking and the other for haircare and massage, without either running low at an inconvenient time or mixing kitchen and personal-care use from the same bottle.
Our coconut oil is extracted from fresh, dried coconuts using a slow wooden kolhu press, kept below 40°C throughout, which preserves the sweet aroma and light flavour that gets lost when coconut oil is produced through modern, high-heat expeller methods. There’s no refining, no bleaching, and no deodorising step — this is the same coconut oil, in taste and smell, that traditional wood-pressing has produced for generations, not the odourless, flavourless version most commercial “refined” coconut oil has become.
On the cooking side, it works well for South Indian dishes, tempering, and any recipe where its natural sweetness adds to the dish rather than working against it. On the haircare side, the same oil massaged into the scalp is a long-standing practice for conditioning hair and moisturising dry skin, particularly useful in the drier winter months.
Keeping two separate bottles — rather than one bottle serving both purposes — also means the oil you’re cooking with never carries any trace of scalp or skin contact, a small but meaningful hygiene consideration that a lot of households already practice informally by buying two bottles anyway. This combo simply makes that a single, straightforward order.
